Whether you’re looking for somewhere to live, a place to host an event or somewhere to work from home, the search for space tends to come with additional unexpected costs that drive the total sum up past what we anticipated. This adds to the already stressful and anxiety inducing experience of looking for somewhere to live whether short or long term.

Here, at soft(spaces), we have set up a framework that allows us to offer a flat rate for fully furnished month-to-month residential rentals, with all utilities (WiFi, gas, electricity, water, heat & air conditioning) included ✧

$1,455/ month ($1,700 for couples)
Queen sized bed (mattress, pillows & linens included), 6 drawer dresser, built-in closet, 2 bedside tables, air-conditioner & a smart TV.
One of two guest rooms in UloDos, a 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom apartment on the first floor of a 2-family home 0.7 miles from the Freeman (2/5) subway stop.
All guests of UloDos have access to a large front porch and backyard. For an additional fee (or barter!), on-site laundry is also available.

❊ NYC’s Restrictions 👀 ❊

If you don’t already know, in September of last year, a restrictive law around short-term rentals went into effect, essentially making it almost impossible for folks to rent out their spaces for less than 30 days. Although we have been trying to find ways around this (because accommodating daily and weekly bookings are needed, too!), we have come to learn that, legally, we are only able to promote our spaces for month-to-month bookings…

On Wednesday last week David fell out of his 6th floor window and landed on the pavement below his apartment. He is, thankfully, alive but in the hospital with a lot of serious injuries. He has a severe concussion, broke his femur, and has multiple facial fractures. He has gone through three surgeries so far to fix his many broken bones. The doctors are saying that he is likely to need weeks of hospitalization and months of recovery.
